On Thursday, August 20, 2009, provisions of the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure Act ("CARD") signed into law by President Obama last May become effective. "The days of any time, any reason rate hikes and late fee traps have to end," President Obama said.

Now that the government is cracking down on credit card lenders, struggling cardholders need to act fast to see if you may be eligible to quickly and legally eliminate half your credit card debt  - without bankruptcy.
